Gov. Christie is sending 150 New Jersey state troopers to help other law enforcement responding to rioting in Baltimore. He made the decision after speaking with Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan. Christie made public his plans in a series of tweets today:
“I spoke directly with Maryland Governor last night and let him know that New Jersey is offering our full support solidarity … ”
Maryland’s governor requested State Police help for at least 72 hours.
Christie worked to help elect Hogan governor when Christie was chairman of the Republican Governors Association last year.
