Bridget Ann Kelly humor lost on us

Bridget Anne Kelly, former deputy chief of staff to Gov. Christie, held a news conference shortly after she was one of two people indicted in the sorry mess known as Bridgegate. She said, “I do realize that some of my offhanded attempts at sarcasm and humor were not as witty as they were intended to be.” Well, then that explains it. Her message “Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee” she sent to David Wildstein — who has plead guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud and other things — was supposed to be funny. Or sarcastic. Silly us, we didn’t get the joke.

The indictment revealed another conversation between the two. Wildstein was ticked off at a rabbi and Kelly asked “We cannot cause traffic problems in front of his house, can we?”

Guess you had to be there.
